Initiostar develops and markets OmniDisplay as a leading Real- Time Communications Platform for digital signage markets. Working in partnership with AV companies and LED distributors we provide a ‘Content-as-a-Service’ solution for real-time digital signage markets, direct to end user clients and partners. OmniDisplay gained its roots in development of real-time digital signage software for trading operations of finance, energy and commodities companies under the Telefax Data Systems brand; the latter and its IPR were acquired by Initiostar in December 2016. Unique to OmniDisplay is the transparent integration of digital information feeds such as Reuters and Bloomberg and the capability to present this data using conditional formatting such as real-time colour and symbol changes depending on the change in values. This has been a common requirement for decades in trading businesses and trading applications, but it is indicative of the design thoughts that originated  and continue to influence the development of OmniDisplay today. Initiostar is not new to ‘Real-Time Information Systems’. It sponsored start-up Cyber3D and pioneered the development of online ‘Virtual Worlds’ in partnership with Adobe. A forerunner to today’s online games, Adobe Atmosphere created a platform where users became interactive Avatars and gamers in Virtual Worlds. Cyber3D won London Business Startup of the Year 2003 and went on to work with Adobe and Unilever. Initiostar software development is undertaken in the UK and Europe and the company continues to invest in its development. OmniDisplay v6.2 is planned for general release in Summer 2017. New enhancements will see close integration with AV products and solutions (e.g. Matrox and Mediastar) extending the scope and capabilities in parallel with the delivery of our own H264/H265 real-time data streaming engine.
